Funding Guidelines

Cymer is dedicated to being a responsible corporate citizen and neighbor by providing employee volunteers and monetary donations to the communities in which we work and live. We now have community relations programs in all 7 of our regions of business. If you believe Cymer would be a good partner for your organization please read the following guidelines to submit your proposal.  

Areas of Community Involvement and InvestmentOur programs are focused solely on our five areas of interest:
  • Civic
  • Cultural
  • Educational
  • Environmental
  • Health
All community relations partners must have projects or activities in one of the above areas. 

Funding Cycle Cymer accepts funding requests year-round, however our budgeting cycle is between September and December for funding approval for the following year. Complete proposals received will be reviewed and eligibility for funding will be determined as they are received.


Proposal Elements and Format
Please include only the following information in your proposal:
  • A brief summary of your organization
  • Your organization's mission and vision statements
  • Details of the event or program for which you are requesting funding
  • Sponsorship opportunities
  • Opportunities for Cymer employee involvement 
  • Your organization's 501(c)3 form

Submission and NotificationAll proposals should be sent in either by email (CymerCommunity@cymer.com) or postal mail, attn: Community Relations.

Successful submissions will be notified in writing as soon as the annual budget approvals have been received.

Reapplying
Organizations that do not receive funding from Cymer may reapply four months after the initial proposal submission. Please note that subsequent proposals will be considered for sponsorship in the following year's budget.

Exclusions and RestrictionsCymer Community Relations is restricted from funding the following:
  • Organizations without Internal Revenue Code non-profit status [501(c)3 Status] 
  • Organizations to which donations are not tax-deductible
  • Individuals
  • Political contributions
  • Groups that practice or promote discrimination, exclusionary, or partisan policies
  • Organizations with the primary purpose of furthering religious doctrine
