Created as a joint-venture in 2005, with a strong foundation of advanced technology from parents Cymer and Carl Zeiss SMT, TCZ is dedicated to bringing together high power light source & advanced optics to make a lasting impact on the flat panel display market. In 2009, Cymer purchased the remaining shares of TCZ from Carl Zeiss SMT, and today TCZ has become an integrated part of the Cymer family. TCZ continues to be well supported by its strategic supplier, Carl Zeiss SMT, and as part of Cymer will be able to deliver the same level of reliability and service support that has been a core part of Cymer’s success. TCZ continues to be led by a strong management team, with deep experience in advanced light source research, semiconductor equipment development, and world-class optics and manufacturing. 
 

The TCZ crystallization systems use the highest power light source sources to offer the highest throughput available in the industry, reducing the cost of display manufacturing. Advanced optics are used to shape the beam to produce uniform and stable process results, providing greater display uniformity and increasing yield particularly for advanced OLED type displays. The core technology of the TCZ system is also readily extendable to different glass sizes used in the display industry. TCZ currently offers systems to process Gen 4 and Gen 5.5 sized glass, which are typically used for advanced mobile and tablet displays. TCZ is currently working to develop a Gen 8 version of the system for use with TV manufacturing. As advanced LCD and OLED technology continues to advance, and more customers enter these growing markets, TCZ is well positioned to support the need of the display industry.
