Community Relations Program
Cymer in Action
Cymer is dedicated to being a valued corporate citizen and partner in the communities where our employees work and live. We provide grant and scholarship funding to targeted organizations that are committed to improving local education, health, culture, environment and civic initiatives that align with the core values of the organization.
On an annual basis, Cymer contributes significant financial support to local communities, and employees spend countless hours volunteering and supporting philanthropic organizations. Cymer also matches the contributions of employees who give to qualified non-profit organizations.

For the third year in a row, Cymer participated in the San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering by hosting an event on campus, Imagination Innovation, and by running a booth at Petco Park for EXPO Day. During both events kids were taught fun and educational ways that science applies to their every-day lives.

For the 7th year, Cymer was the presenting sponsor of San Diego Youth Services' biggest fund-raiser, Creations in Chocolate. Along with endless chocolate and pastry treats, employees were privileged to meet three Olympic medalists. Monique Henderson, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Track & Field 2004 & 2008, Susan Francia, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Rowing 2008 & 2012, and Kelly Rulon, Olympic Gold Medalist Water Polo 2012 and Bronze Medalist 2004 all sat at tables with Cymer employees and shared their stories.

For the first year, Team Cymer participated in Finish Chelsea's Run. Among the many amazing things the King family has accomplished, Finish Chelsea's Run had it's largest year yet with over 6,000 attendees in their new location, Balboa Park. Ten Cymer employees, family and friends walked in honor of the late Chelsea King. All proceeds went to student academic and extra-curricular scholarships.
